This past week has completely upset my routine and sapped my strength of will and determination.
I knew the scale would be up this morning and I know it's not as bad as I expected.
New weight - 197.9 - that is up 0.6 lbs.
Although I have felt defeated this week, I am not giving up. I have to find my motivation again, it's amazing how it can disappear so quickly after being so strong for so long.
I did three runs and also yoga today so I have not completely abandoned healthy living this week. Back to the drawing board - back to the basics.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
You've been doing a great job for so long...a little bump in the road won't stop you!!! New day. New week!
ReplyDeleteI have had a tough week too. I used up all my extra weekly points except for 3 by Friday morning (my week runs Tue - Mon). Today I managed to stay on points and forced myself to take a 55 minute walk, which is good exercise with the hills in my neighborhood. BUT, like you said, back to basics and finding our motivation! You are awesome, you can do it!
ReplyDeleteRemind me to kick your ass this morning:) You are doing great. .6 pound gain? Inconsequential. We will not be giving up, or even thinking about it! Remember your own words of wisdom from Friday night!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, we can do this!
ReplyDeleteIf only all defeats were as nominal as this. .6pounds could be a visit to the bathroom. You know what you need to do. Clean diet. Movement. :) You can do anything!
ReplyDeleteYou have shown time and time again you know what you're doing. This is just a bump on the road of success - a road I sincerely believe you haven't left since you began this journey (or at least since I started following your blog)! What I love is your attitude. There is no 'this was out of my hands' or 'i felt i deserved this'. You acknowledge what is right and wrong, you make corrections. No one is perfect 100% of the time, but what sets your bad week apart from others is 1. the very very small gain 2. you are honest about yourself with what went wrong 3. you strive to correct your problems. You know, I really hope you do get in to try crossfit, because with you're attitude you'll take over the gym in a matter of months!
ReplyDeleteRebooting always seems the only real option. When I give in, I go the wrong direction, and fairly quickly. Kudos for rebooting as quickly as possible...

You're an inspiration - hell I haven't seen the ones since high school. Sometimes you have to look at the overall trend and ignore the "noise".
ReplyDeleteYou did not give up, you just kept going! That is what makes you beautiful and successful. Sometimes, those kind of weeks come that just kick you right in your teeth. It isn't fun, but it reminds us how strong we truly are!
