Day 270 - 307, New Year

My first 5K event. Chip time was 43:29. It was a beautiful day by the lake and I raised $420 for a great cause.

Great job! I remember how I felt after my first 5k despite being near the end of the pack in all age groups and both genders! Didn't matter...I was on flying high!

Look like it was a great day for a run, good job! I remmber once years ago deciding I needed to start running to shed a bunch of pounds. That first day I ran a mile, and it killed me, but I got through it somehow even though I about threw up at the end of it! But it got easier to keep adding a little more distance each time until running 3-4 miles wasn't too bad. It's not my favorite form of exercise, but defintiely effective for losing weight andoddly enough I always felt like eating less food after running instead of more.
