Day 270 - 307, New Year

My first 5K event. Chip time was 43:29. It was a beautiful day by the lake and I raised $420 for a great cause.

  2. Great job! I remember how I felt after my first 5k despite being near the end of the pack in all age groups and both genders! Didn't matter...I was on flying high!

  7. Look like it was a great day for a run, good job! I remmber once years ago deciding I needed to start running to shed a bunch of pounds. That first day I ran a mile, and it killed me, but I got through it somehow even though I about threw up at the end of it! But it got easier to keep adding a little more distance each time until running 3-4 miles wasn't too bad. It's not my favorite form of exercise, but defintiely effective for losing weight andoddly enough I always felt like eating less food after running instead of more.
