I am fighting today.
Fighting a cold.
Fighting with a teenager who thinks he's a grown up.
Fighting with myself to eat properly.
Fighting to stay awake.
Fighting to remember to drink water.
Yesterday was a good day, I ate well all day and we ended up going to East Side Marios for dinner and I ate my normal half portion of Chicken Parmigiana but I did overdo it on the Home Loaf before our salads came. I should have had a snack before we went as it was much later than our normal dinner time by the time we actually ate. I was way over my calories yesterday but I think I made good choices and only ate to satisfied, never overfull. I am doing better with water at work, but still not hitting 2L a day. A little more each day and hopefully I'll be there by Friday.
I did the 30 min walking DVD last night but found it too easy and I wasn't really pushing myself, so I need something that will challenge me a little more so I'm going to see if I can find the Leslie Sansone walking DVDs I've heard about from other bloggers.
That's all I got today folks!
Leslie's great, she's got a great tape with 1,2, 3 and 4 miles, if you can find it, go with that one! It's my fav along her 5K with a Twist.
ReplyDeleteAlso, fighting with the teenager that thinks he's all grown up, can soooo relate! Urgh my son is driving me nuts! Pretty darn exhausting, isn't it? Sometimes it takes more out of me than a Jillian work out! LOL
Good luck on that front, and the water, well it's now been 7 days and I'm finally drinking the 64oz or 2L without a second thought and it's not as awful as I thought!
You'll so get there ;)
Congratulations on what you did accomplish today, and with the rest tomorrow is another day. As to teens, my son is 17 1/2 and I truly believe raising teen agers is like nailing jello to a tree. You just can't win sometimes. However, we shall survive . Our parents did with us, so the odds are in our favor.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about a having a bad day. Sounds like it still wasn't TOO bad.
ReplyDeleteA trick that I use to get my water in is to use a straw. I actually use a Camelback bottle that has a strawlike spout to it. This allows me to just sit there and idly suck on the water while I'm watching TV or doing work. Before you know it, you'll need to refill.
I hope you feel better soon!
Got my comment section fixed, thank you! Sorry to hear your not feeling well. And I know exactly how you feel with the teenager thing! UGH! Take care of yourself, dont overdo so you can feel better quicker!
ReplyDeleteFight the good fight Enz! You are tough.
ReplyDeleteI find the best place to get Lesley's DVD's are over the river - at Target. They have the best selection. In Canada, I find very little selection. I like the 4 Fast miles...very challenging! (it's part jogging/walking intervals)
ReplyDeleteYeah I find it hard to drink that much water too, but maybe I'll try Kailey's straw method.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the price of the Wii has finally started to drop, if that helps.
Keep up the good fight, lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm so bad with water - at least that's all I drink nowadays (besides a cup of coffee in the morning)...
I hope you have a good weekend that's fight-free!
