Snowmageddon

That's the what the weather folk are calling our spite of snowstorms this week. We've had a mild winter, we can't complain but it did take me almost two hours to get to work - 23 km / 2 hours.....oh joy. Anyway I'm here now and safe :)

So what's new in my life?

Thanks for all your support on my last post - it meant alot.  I am in a much better frame of mind today, actually I was yesterday as well. I still don't know what the right calorie level is for me, but I haven't know that before and that didn't stop me from eating healthy and exercising - so I just need to keep doing that. I keep monitoring my portion sizes, eat mostly whole/real foods and drink lots of water and exercise. My other strategy is to keep meals balanced, protein/healthy carbs/healthy fats at every meal to avoid blood sugar spikes.

Just like driving to work this morning - all I can do is keep going, no matter how slow it is or how long it takes. There really is no other choice for me.

I have finished Beck and need to post the last few chapters so I can close that out on the blog.  As far as I know I have a quiet weekend ahead so that's top of my agenda right now.

  2. When I have experienced what you have just gone through that is when I give up and throw it all in. I am so pleased and proud of you to just put it behind you and move on. As you know I am struggling to get where you are - its happening and my being here today is part of the key. I need to hold on to inspirations like you.

Lets just hope the snow is finished now -- we could have used a bit more here during the Olympics.

  7. Hi Enz,

Using the Mifflin St. Jeor equation your calorie levels are as follows:

    Maintenance:
    2306 Calories/day
    Fat Loss:
    1845 Calories/day
    Extreme Fat Loss:
    1752 Calories/day

I used a 5day/week activity level which is what you would get on the 30 day challenge. Let me know if you would like help with the 30 day challenge.

  8. I share your frustration, but you're right, all we can do is keep going. There's no one program fits all. There's definitely trial and error and of course you have to factor in life. It's a journey, it's a journey! Hang in there, Enz!
